About Me

I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, as part of a large family, with a deep passion for cinema, literature, and understanding human beings. My journey in psychology began at Allameh Tabataba’i University, where I earned my degrees in clinical psychology and general psychology.

Since 2015 I have been the founder and CEO of the Ravi Psychology Clinic in Tehran and  a registered and certified member of the Psychology and Counselling Organization of Iran (PCO), driven by a commitment to provide compassionate care and support. My professional experience in Tehran included serving as a psychotherapist for the Tehran Municipality’s cultural and social deputy also, where I worked across different provinces. Additionally, I was a research assistant at the National Nutrition and Food Technology Research Institute, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, where I conducted several  research projects in the field of obesity, as well as my master thesis in narrative therapy and body image.

In addition, I have been a clinical psychologist at Ghasedak Alzheimer Institute,  after defending my bachelor’s thesis about elderly age and sanatoriums. Consumer behavior and the psychology of advertising have always fascinated me.

While living in Iran, I  published over one hundred articles in these areas for TMBA magazine and ASSOMES magazine- Association of Managers and Experts of Iranian Shoe Industry -focusing on Iran’s market and comparing it to the rest of the world. Some honors and awards I have received include Erasmus Exchange Program nominee, Aarhus University, Denmark, Exceptional Talented Membership, Young Researchers and Elite Club, Iran, Best Paper Awards, Health Festival, Municipality of Tehran, Top Paper Awards, National Conferences on Literary Tourism and Advertisement Industry, Iran, Full Scholarship for B.A and M.A. programs, Allameh Tabataba’i University, Ranked 1st among BA students of clinical psychology Major.

My professional path then took me to Europe, where I pursued further studies in Gender Studies at Charles University in Prague, focusing on the fat female body idea, which perfectly matches my master’s thesis in psychology. Over the years, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals through various life challenges.

This journey has included roles as a psychotherapist at the Prague Integration Office in the Czech Republic, Psycenter in Belgium, the Expathy online platform in the Netherlands, and the Uhealy mental health platform. I have extensive experience working with Western clients worldwide, engaging in individual, couple, family, and group therapy with people from forty nationalities.

My scientific contributions include presentations at over twenty national and international conferences, book chapters, and published articles in psychology journals. In addition to my clinical practice, I have enriched my professional experience as a teacher and educator at international schools in Prague, where I emphasized a comprehensive understanding of cultural and social dynamics. My psychology studies are also recognized as a school psychologist in the Ministry of Education in the Czech Republic.

My focus in psychology is primarily on the narrative approach, and my passion in psychotherapy lies in helping people understand the meaning of their decisions and life scenarios. My approach is far from pathologizing; I view life narratives as the core of psychoanalysis. I can help you become aware of the stories you carry with you through life and how these stories can influence the way you view yourself. It can empower you to take back your narrative and see any problems as distinct from you. This usually starts with becoming aware of the stories you’ve absorbed and developed from personal experiences, social and political pressures, cultural or religious beliefs, pop culture, and media.
