Unknown future:  Darkness exists, and you are also

In my second novel ‘Panj Shab’ there is a sentence:

“ I am afraid of myself more than others’’.

In every challenge we have in our life stories, there is fear of the unknown and unpredictable things that are happening or will happen, we fear how we will react to that, and what we should do,  our self becomes an unknown and the reference of fear. Darkness, darkness, we are looking to find the light to see ourselves better, that light is the ‘meaning’  you are carrying, but you are afraid of yourself and can not see it, you close your eyes to not see it.  The answer to the sentence ‘Don’t be afraid’  is not yes or no or thank you or I appreciate your kindness,  the answer is   ‘of whom’?

I do believe whenever you have been told not to be afraid, there is a hidden story that says you should be afraid. I think we should look for the answer to the question ‘of whom’? my self? this is when the journey begins, the turning point in our life, to see the light in the darkness. Your meaning of life somehow and in some parts depends on this dialogue

-Don’t be afraid

-Of whom?

I am afraid of my father is a different life story than I am afraid of my mother, my friend, my boss, my society, my government, my religion, etc.

I agree with the protagonist of the novel, I am afraid of myself more than others. This is me who can make illusions for me, or hope, light, or darkness, I am looking into the darkness, nothing scarier than me; I am a writer.

 You are a writer also!
